Confluence Behavioral Health is a state licensed residential treatment center providing intermediate mental health care. Many insurance plans will cover costs for mental health care services provided by Confluence. Depending on the specific plan and policy terms, individuals may seek to gain pre-authorization from their insurance carrier or submit claims after service.

A Verification of Benefits (VOB) is the first step to see if your insurance may cover care with Confluence. The Confluence admission and billing teams will do this step for you and help you better understand the potential for coverage. A VOB is not a guarantee of coverage but simply indicates if your plan has benefits that could cover care at Confluence.

Confluence can bill insurance companies directly for care if and when prior-authorization is approved and a participant meets the insurance provider’s criteria for medically necessary treatment. In most cases prior-authorization is completed after admission to Confluence and clinical information is available for insurance providers.
